Jose Luis Caminero confident Thibaut Courtois will stay

Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Caminero is confident that the Spanish club will reach an agreement with Chelsea over a loan extension for Thibaut Courtois.

Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Caminero believes that the Spanish club will reach an agreement with Chelsea over a loan extension for Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian goalkeeper is currently in his third season on loan at Atletico, where he has developed into one of the best stoppers in European football.

As it stands, the 21-year-old is due to return to his parent club in the summer, but Caminero is confident that Courtois will remain in the Spanish capital next season.

"We have a very good relationship with Chelsea and I'm sure we'll reach an agreement that works out well for them, for Courtois and for Atletico Madrid," he told Movistar.

Courtois is yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea.
