Preview: Hull City vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole previews the match in the Premier League between Hull City and Chelsea.

Hull City go into their fixture with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon having never defeated the leaders in the Premier League.

The Tigers have drew twice and lost five times in seven fixtures, but manager Steve Bruce will be aware that a positive result at the KC Stadium would go a long way to securing their top-flight status for another season.

Hull head into the game having lost just once in their last six outings, but Bruce has selection problems with midfielder Tom Huddlestone sidelined through suspension and striker Nikica Jelavic facing a six-week layoff.

However, David Meyler and Abel Hernandez could be recalled in place of the absent duo, while Robbie Brady may earn a return to the squad after injury.

Chelsea make the trip North having put together a run of 10 games without defeat in all competitions, but boss Jose Mourinho won't be satisfied with his team's recent performances.

During that period, five draws have been recorded while the Blues haven't found it easy to find the back of the net, with just seven goals coming from their last six league games.

Diego Costa has also struggled to trouble the scores in recent weeks, but a goal against Southampton last weekend, his first in eight fixtures, should give him a boost ahead of Sunday's match.

John Obi Mikel remains sidelined after knee surgery, but Willian has recovered from a knock to take his place in the squad.
