John Terry 'has no plans to end international retirement'

Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly not considering coming out of international retirement, despite Sam Allardyce opening the door for a potential England return.

Chelsea captain John Terry has no plans to come out of international retirement, according to reports.

New England boss Sam Allardyce yesterday opened the door for a possible return for Terry, who last played for his country in 2012.

The 35-year-old was twice stripped of the captaincy before hanging up his boots, first in 2010 after reports about his personal life and again in 2012 following the allegations of racial abuse aimed at Anton Ferdinand.

Allardyce refused to rule out the possibility of trying to coax the 78-cap centre-back out of retirement, but The Telegraph reports that he is not considering ending his international exile.

Terry is instead eager to focus on Chelsea, with his contract due to expire at the end of the current season.
