Jose Mourinho tells Chelsea fans: "I'm one of you"

Jose Mourinho vows to deliver further success during his second spell as manager of Chelsea.

Returning Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has promised the club's supporters that he will do all that he can to repeat the success that he achieved during his first spell at Stamford Bridge.

When he was unveiled in the summer of 2004, Mourinho told the club's television channel that he would provide "quality, work, love and passion to bring success to the club".

Having been asked to give the fans a message by the same outlet following his reappointment this afternoon, the 50-year-old replied: "Now I can say I'm one of you and let's make a little bit of a difference. In football I have had two great passions - Inter and Chelsea and Chelsea is more than important for me.

"It was very, very hard to play against Chelsea, but I did it only twice, which was not so bad. Now I promise exactly the same things that I promised in 2004 with the difference now that I'm one of you."

Mourinho guided the Blues to seven trophies during his first three years in charge.
