Preview: FA Cup final - Liverpool vs. Chelsea

Liverpool and Chelsea face off in a highly-anticipated final at Wembley this Saturday as they fight for the coveted FA Cup trophy.

The coveted FA Cup trophy will be heading back to either Anfield or Stamford Bridge on Saturday as Liverpool and Chelsea prepare to go head to head in the final at Wembley.

The Reds have a chance to claim their second piece of silverware this season following their Carling Cup triumph in February, while the Blues can snatch their first trophy of the campaign with the Champions League final yet to come.

Roberto Di Matteo's side have arguably been in better form heading into the highly-anticipated final, while Liverpool have taken just two victories from their last six Premier League matches.

Kenny Dalglish is likely to make wholesale changes from the team that lost 1-0 to Fulham on Tuesday, with skipper Steven Gerrard and striker Luis Suarez due to come back into the fold.

Andy Carroll is in contention to keep his spot up front with Jay Spearing and Jonjo Shelvey fighting it out for a place in midfield.

Meanwhile, Di Matteo is likely to select Didier Drogba over ex-Liverpool star Fernando Torres, despite the Spaniard's recent run of impressive form, which includes a hat-trick in the Blues' 6-1 win over Queens Park Rangers last week.

Gary Cahill could return to the starting XI if the centre-back manages to come through his recent injury blow, while Frank Lampard should be chosen to secure the middle of the park after starting on the bench for Chelsea's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United last night.

Current form:

Liverpool: DWWLWL
Chelsea: WWDDWL

Possible lineups:

Liverpool: Reina; Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Johnson; Henderson, Gerrard, Spearing, Bellamy; Suarez, Carroll

Chelsea: Cech; Cole, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic; Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Mata; Kalou; Drogba

Sports Mole says: 2-1
