Craig Gordon extends Celtic stay until 2018

Celtic confirm that goalkeeper Craig Gordon has penned a new deal with the club until 2018.

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has signed a contract extension with the club until 2018.

The 32-year-old joined the Scottish champions last summer following a two-year spell out of the game.

Gordon, who has won 43 caps for Scotland, made 52 appearances in all competitions for Celtic last season.

"I am absolutely delighted to extend my contract with Celtic, such a fantastic football club. I have enjoyed my first year immensely at Celtic," he told the club's official website.

"It has been great to enjoy success already and I'm looking forward to giving everything to bring more good times to our supporters who have given me such a tremendous welcome to the club."

Gordon played for Hearts and Sunderland before moving to Glasgow at the start of last season.
