Scott Brown close to signing new Celtic contract

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown says he is close to signing a new contract with the SPL club.

The 26-year-old Scotland international's current deal expires at the end of the season.

"Hopefully it's just a matter of time, maybe a couple of weeks or so," he said.

"I want to stay at this club, I enjoy this club. The manager wants me to stay and I want to stay for the manager."

The Bhoys signed Brown from Hibernian in 2007 for £4.4m.
