Adam Montgomery returns to Celtic from Motherwell

Adam Montgomery has returned to Celtic to continue his rehabilitation on a serious injury picked up in training.

"Adam Montgomery has suffered a serious injury that will keep him out for a considerable period of time," read a statement from Motherwell.

"The full-back, who had joined on loan from Celtic, made his debut in the 3-1 victory over Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup.

"However, he had to withdraw from a training session and has since undergone scans to determine the issue.

"Montgomery has now returned to Celtic to undergo his rehabilitation."
