Celtic midfielder taken to hospital

Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken jaw during the Scottish champions' friendly against Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old was knocked unconscious after being caught late in an aerial duel by Nuri Sahin, falling heavy and causing considerable concern.

McGeouch was treated for more than five minutes and left the pitch in a neck brace as a precaution.

Celtic's official Twitter account later confirmed the news on his injury, tweeting: "Dylan McGeouch has been taken to hospital with suspected jaw fracture."

Neil Lennon's side lost the match in Philadelphia to the Spanish champions 2-0, with goals from Karim Benzema and Jose Callejon.
