Report: Celta Vigo want Andre Almeida

Celta Vigo are reportedly interested in signing Benfica defender Andre Almeida at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old, who has been with Benfica since 2011, was strongly linked with a move to La Liga last summer, but he remained with the Portuguese outfit.

According to Inside Spanish Football, Celta will return with a bid this summer and are confident of signing the Portugal international, who has largely struggled to hold down a regular spot with his current team.

A number of European clubs are also said to be interested in the full-back, who can also play in midfield.

Almeida represented his country at the 2014 World Cup.
