Half-Time Report: Carlisle United's Kyle Dempsey pegs back AFC Wimbledon

Carlisle United teenager Kyle Dempsey scores a first-half brace to twice peg back AFC Wimbledon in a League Two match which sees four goals shared before the break.

Kyle Dempsey's first-half brace saw Carlisle United twice peg back AFC Wimbledon to go into half time of the League Two contest level at 2-2.

Sean Rigg's second goal of the season came after the 25-year-old punished Blues defender David Symington's defensive lapse to give the Dons an fourth-minute lead.

Dempsey cancelled out Rigg's early opener, but the game stayed at 1-1 for just 10 minutes.

Matt Tubbs, League Two's Player of the Month for August continued his rich vein of form to neatly finish past Carlisle goalkeeper Mark Gillespie on 22 minutes for his sixth of the campaign.

After Brad Potts headed down into his path, it was 18-year-old Dempsey who equalised for United again with a strike into the top corner on the stroke of half time.
