Helguson has signed a one-year contract with the club after completing a medical earlier today.
The 34-year-old will link up with his new teammates tomorrow, and could feature for his new club in a pre-season friendly against Oxford United on Saturday.
Helguson scored nine goals in 16 league games for QPR last season.
