Championship outfit Cardiff City have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ryan Giles on loan.
The 21-year-old gained experience of the second tier last season while on loan at Coventry City and Rotherham United, in total making 42 appearances across the 2020-21 campaign.
Last summer Giles arrived at Coventry and managed one assist in 19 appearances for Mark Robins's side, and then went on to play for Rotherham from January until the end of the season, and scored two goals for the Millers.
Football Insider reports that the Welsh club have fended off competition from fellow Championship sides to win the race for the Englishman's services on a season-long loan.
Bluebirds boss Mick McCarthy is said to be a big admirer of the left-sided midfielder, and used his Wolves links to secure a deal for the youngster.
Giles made his only senior appearances for Wolves during an FA Cup tie in 2019.
