Cardiff City's fans have voted for the club's shorts to be black next season after a number of complaints were received about the initial deep red.
The club, which originally revealed a kit of red tops, dark red shorts and red socks, said: "The decision had been made as a means to help visually distinguish the club in the Premier League, while continuing the theme of our successful 2012-13 Championship winning season.
"The resulting response carried across social media quickly indicated that a large number of supporters were unhappy with the choice of colour concerning the shorts."
The club allowed supporters to vote on four different colours for the shorts - the deep red, same red as the shirt, white and black.
On Friday, the club posted the results on Twitter, saying: "The votes have been tallied & verified, with the majority winner, as voted by season ticket holders, being black shorts for #CardiffCity."
It is the same colour combination that the team wore last season as they won the Championship and gained promotion to the top flight.
The club have indicated that they will now liaise with kit makers Puma to put the strip into production "as quickly as possible".
