Cagliari Calcio have released Antonio Adan from his contract after just two months.

The former Real Madrid goalkeeper joined the Italian side on a free transfer in November, but has been released by mutual consent after struggling during his short spell in Italy.

However, the 26-year-old is not believed to be short of offers, with a number of European clubs monitoring proceedings.

A recent report has claimed that Real Betis will make a move as the basement outfit look for a new first-choice goalkeeper.
