Report: Antonio Adan close to Real Betis move

Cagliari Calcio goalkeeper Antonio Adan could reportedly join Spanish side Real Betis on a free transfer before the end of the January transfer window.

The Spaniard only joined the Italian outfit from Real Madrid in November, but it is believed that he is already looking for a return to his home nation.

According to reports in Spain, Cagliari will allow the 26-year-old to rescind his contract and make a permanent move to Betis before the end of the week.

Adan came through the youth system at Madrid, but made just seven first-team appearances since joining in 1997.
