Sloan Privat and Julien Feret see Caen past visiting Toulouse

Caen claim a comfortable 2-0 victory over visiting side Toulouse in Ligue 1, thanks to goals either side of half time from Sloan Privat and Julien Feret.

Goals either side of half time from Sloan Privat and Julien Feret handed Caen an important 2-0 home victory over Toulouse in Ligue 1 this evening.

After a tame opening to the game, Caen registered their first chance in the 16th minute as Privat took aim from range before forcing a good stop from Ali Ahamada.

The home side grew in confidence and they found the lead just two minutes later when N'Golo Kante whipped a ball into the box, where Privat battled to head home into the bottom corner from six yards out.

Feret missed a good chance to double the home side's lead right on the stroke of half time as he guided his effort wide to the left, after Emiliano Sala had led a counter-attack.

The hosts were presented with the opportunity to seal all three points in the second half as Steeve Yago was adjudged to have brought down Sala in the box, allowing Feret to convert from the spot and make it 2-0.
