Midfielder Chris Sedgwick has signed a one-year deal with Bury.
The 33-year-old had been training with the League Two side since the start of pre-season after leaving Scunthorpe United.
Sedgwick made an appearance for Bury during their friendly with Radcliffe Borough at the weekend, and manager Kevin Blackwell has moved swiftly to tie him to a deal at Gigg Lane.
The former Preston North End player spent the majority of last season on loan at Hyde United.
