George Boyd: 'Burnley not worried by goal drought'

Burnley striker George Boyd says that the team are not worried by their goal drought in the Premier League.

George Boyd has said that Burnley have not been worrying about their goal drought ahead of this weekend's match against Leicester City.

If the Clarets fail to score in the first 36 minutes in their visit to the King Power Stadium, the team will set a new club record for minutes without scoring, having not found the back of the net since their opening match of the season.

The striker told The Mirror: "We are not in dark rooms, in the corner, worrying about it. It's people on the outside who are making more of it than us.

"I think the gaffer is doing well to try and just make us concentrate on what we do as a group, rather than listen to voices outside.

"It's important what we do and that's all that matters. It's not a record we want but it's not on our minds. Our focus is just to play our game and, if the chances come, try and win."

Burnley are still waiting for their first win in the league this season.
