Burnley's Matthew Taylor to undergo operation on Achilles

Taylor to undergo Achilles op

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that Matthew Taylor will undergo minor surgery on an Achilles problem.

The 32-year-old has been ruled out of this weekend's match against his former club West Ham United due to the operation.

"Matty Taylor unfortunately is going to have to have a minor operation," Dyche told reporters. "He's got a niggle in his Achilles and unfortunately it just hasn't settled down."

Taylor, who joined the Clarets in the summer, has not played since Burnley's goalless draw with Manchester United on August 30.
