Burnley on course to face Olympiacos

Burnley face a potential Europa League playoff tie against Greek giants Olympiacos if they first overcome Istanbul Basaksehir.

The Clarets have already edged past Aberdeen to advance through to the third qualifying round, where Super Lig side Basaksehir await over the next 10 days.

Should Burnley prolong their first European adventure in over 50 years by winning the two-legged tie, they will then face either Olympiacos or Swiss club Luzern for a place in the competition proper.

Elsewhere in Monday's draw, Rangers learned that they will face one of FC Ufa or Progres Niederkorn - by whom they were knocked out last season - if they get the better of Maribor in the next round.

Fellow Scottish Premiership side Hibernian are on course to face Zenit St Petersburg, meanwhile, if they first beat Molde and the Russian side see off Dinamo Minsk in those upcoming ties.
