Brighton and Birmingham play out a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton hit a late equaliser against Birmingham to earn themselves at point in the game at the Amex Stadium.

Birmingham started the game well, controlling the majority of the play and creating a couple of half chances in the opening ten minutes.

On 15 minutes, the home side hit Birmingham on the break, putting Buckley through on goal, however, Doyle did well and denied the forward.

The game was played at a fast pace, with both sides flying forward at any opportunity.

On 39 minutes, Vicente's free kick from the right found the run of Joe Mattock but his effort hit the side netting.

Nathan Redmond had an effort from distance, but his shot fizzed just wide on 43 minutes.

Despite an entertaining first half, chances were few and far between, with the score still at 0-0.

Birmingham came out the stronger side in the second half.

On 65 minutes, Andros Townsend flashed an effort across the goal from the left hand side.

The away side made their dominance count on 68 minutes when Redmond made it 1-0 with a low drive.

A run from Vicente into the box then created a chance for Brighton. The ball fell to Barnes from eight yards out and he made no mistake to give the home side an equaliser on 84 minutes.
