Brighton lineup vs. Coventry: Predicted XI after Georginio Rutter, Femi Azeez injury updates

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed a double injury boost for his side ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Coventry City at the CBS Arena.

The Seagulls cannot call upon any of Yankuba Minteh (calf), Kaoru Mitoma (thigh), Jack Hinshelwood (unspecified), Mats Wieffer (knee), Stefanos Tzimas (knee), Evan Ferguson (ankle) and Zadok Yohanna (unspecified), but Femi Azeez and Georginio Rutter both have chances of making the squad.

However, neither man should be considered for a spot in the starting lineup - especially Rutter following a recent setback - so the XI may remain unchanged from last weekend's 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

As a result, Charalampos Kostoulas will continue to spearhead the attack for the Seagulls, with Malick Yalcouye, Diego Gomez and Maxim De Cuyper providing support.

De Cuyper continues to operate as a makeshift left-winger amid Minteh and Mitoma's absences, but the Belgian has thrived in the role, making the second-most passes into the box and the second-most successful crosses in the 2026-27 Premier League behind Bruno Fernandes.

Further back, Pascal Gross and Yasin Ayari are midfield mainstays, while Luka Vuskovic partners Lewis Dunk after opening his Brighton account to rescue a point against Leeds.

De Cuyper is unlikely to be the only left-back playing out of position on Sunday, as Ferdi Kadioglu should be required on the right-hand side, while Olivier Boscagli holds the fort on the opposite wing.
