Noone extends Brighton contract

Craig Noone has committed his future to Brighton & Hove Albion by signing a new contract at the Amex Stadium.

The 24-year-old had reportedly been the subject of two bids from fellow Championship club Cardiff City during the January transfer window.

Brighton rebuffed both offers and reacted by offering the 24-year-old fresh terms on a deal until the summer of 2015.

"I'm delighted," he told the club's official website. "I set my sights on a long-term contract so I'm very happy to get it sorted, because this club is going from strength to strength.

"There is a great bunch of lads, a great stadium, brilliant coaching staff and I love the city. I want to continue being part of things here."

Noone joined the Seagulls in 2011 from Plymouth Argyle.
