Brentford are reportedly prepared to play the waiting game in order to sign Ipswich Town attacker Omari Hutchinson.
The Bees are expecting a tough campaign in the top flight after losing highly-rated head coach Thomas Frank to Tottenham Hotspur.
With little experience of managing at the level, Keith Andrews is now the man tasked with preventing relegation at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Irishman will be unable to call upon the services of Bryan Mbeumo, who has secured a £65m move to Manchester United.
With the likes of Leeds United and Sunderland spending heavily, Brentford could be embroiled in a relegation battle this season.
Brentford 'play waiting game' for Hutchinson
According to The Standard, relegation-threatened Brentford have devised their transfer strategy regarding Ipswich man Hutchinson.
The report claims that the Bees are preparing to 'play the waiting game' in order to secure the services of the 21-year-old attacker.
It is understood that Brentford will wait for Ipswich to sign a replacement on the flanks before submitting any further bids for Hutchinson.
The West London outfit supposedly launched an initial offer totalling £35m last month, when Ipswich rejected the advances of the Bees.
Hutchinson is said to be open to a move to the Gtech Community Stadium, where he could be faced with another relegation dogfight.
Why do Brentford want Hutchinson?
Despite a difficult campaign for Ipswich at Portman Road in the Premier League, youngster Hutchinson managed to catch the eye of top-tier suitors.
The ex-Chelsea man scored three goals and provided two assists across 31 top-flight matches for Kieran McKenna's strugglers.
After thriving in the Premier League, Hutchinson would be wasted in the Championship this season, although it is unlikely he will be able to immediately fill the shoes of Mbeumo at Brentford.
