Fernandinho shocked by "unbelievable" loss

Fernandinho admits that he finds it impossible to explain how Brazil were beaten 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup semi-final.

Fernandinho has claimed that he will never be able to explain the reasons behind Brazil's 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Germany in the World Cup semi-final.

The hosts were shocked in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday as Germany scored five goals in the first half before piling on further misery after the break, and Fernandinho admits that it will be difficult to recover from the disappointment.

"It is unbelievable, incredible things happened," the Manchester City midfielder, who was substituted at the interval, told reporters.

"We can try for the rest of our lives, but we cannot find the words to explain this situation. I've never experienced anything like that in my life."

Brazil's campaign will finish against the Netherlands in Saturday's third-place playoff after Louis van Gaal's side were beaten on penalties by Argentina on Wednesday night.
