Bournemouth linked with Leganes defender Diego Rico

Bournemouth are allegedly readying a summer offer for Leganes defender Diego Rico.

The Cherries have made contact with the Spanish club to discuss a transfer fee for the left-back, but are yet to table a bid, reports Sky Sports News.

Rico, 25, has made 51 appearances for Leganes since joining the club from Real Zaragoza two years ago.

According to the same source, the Cherries are also interested in Levante midfielder Jefferson Lerma, despite having failed to sign him with a £19m bid earlier in the summer transfer window.

Negotiations regarding the Colombia World Cup star are said to be ongoing but the two clubs remain far apart on his valuation.
