Eddie Howe: 'It was an incredible game'

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has admitted that he does not know how his side managed to record a 4-3 victory over Liverpool.

The Cherries faced deficits of 2-0 and 3-1 before netting three times in the final 15 minutes, and Howe has acknowledged that Nathan Ake's late winner had capped off an "incredible game".

Asked how his side turned things around at the Vitality Stadium, the 39-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I don't know really. It was an incredible game. First half, we were poor, especially by our standards of recent weeks, and Liverpool were very good.

"I give them a lot of credit for how they played, the pitch was too big for us to defend. Although our goalkeeper wasn't overworked, their dominance of the game was obvious.

"We had to dig deep and juggle things about a bit at half time and we came out a much better team."

Bournemouth now sit in 10th place in the league standings.
