Bournemouth injury news: Marco Rose issues latest Alex Scott update ahead of Leeds fixture

"We are going to see" - Rose issues Scott injury update

Bournemouth head coach Marco Rose is unsure whether Scott will return to action before the November international window.

Scott has missed the last six competitive matches since sustaining a thigh injury in England’s 7-0 win over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League earlier this month.

Bournemouth, who beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the EFL Cup fourth round on Wednesday, have three games to play until the next international window, beginning with Saturday’s home meeting with Leeds United.

The Cherries will then face Sparta Prague in the Europa League, before heading to Portman Road for a top-flight clash against Ipswich Town.

Bournemouth yet to make Scott return decision

While Scott remains sidelined for Saturday’s encounter with Leeds, Rose has admitted a decision is yet to be made as to whether Scott will make his return before the international break.

“We are going to see where we are,” Rose said in Thursday’s pre-match press conference.

“In more or less one week, we have an international break, then we have two weeks more to get him really fit.

“But he is on the pitch, he works hard. He has no problems. He has not trained with the team so far but I’m quite sure he is going to do it in the next couple of days.

“Then we are going to see, is it worth it to bring him to the squad before the international break? Or after the international break to be maybe more reasonable.”

When asked whether Scott could return against Ipswich, Rose said: “It could be an option but again, we have to ask ourselves, is it reasonable?"

Do Bournemouth have any other injury concerns?

Midfielder Alex Toth remains sidelined after picking up a hamstring injury in the 3-0 win against AC Milan in the Europa League.

As for Julian Araujo, he is still waiting to make his first appearance of the season, as he continues to work his way back from thigh surgery.

Junior Kroupi, meanwhile, is once again available for selection after returning from injury with substitute appearances against Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Rose has stressed that Kroupi needs to "build up his game time" before he is in a position to start matches.
