Michael Zorc: 'Marco is not only a hugely important player, he is a poster boy'

Zorc: Marco Reus is Dortmund "poster boy"

Borussia Dortmund will do their best to keep Marco Reus at the club this summer, the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed.

The 25-year-old is reportedly a target for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich also credited with a serious interest.

Zorc told Sport1: "[We will] definitely try to keep him long term.

"Marco is not only a hugely important player for us because of his athletic performance, but also in his role as a poster boy.

"He is Dortmund-born and a figurehead for this club."

Details of a £19.8m release clause in the Germany international's contract were recently revealed.
