Sebastian Kehl rejects retirement talk

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sebastian Kehl has insisted that he has not considered his long-term future, despite being out of contract at the end of this season.

Kehl has been made more than 350 appearances for Dortmund in a 12-year spell, which was extended during the close-season when he penned a one-year extension.

The 33-year-old has declared that he wants to keep playing next season and beyond, even if that means leaving Dortmund.

He told reporters: "I'm not paying attention to this now. I'm aiming to play football even after this season, maybe the situation will be a different one in a few months' time.

"Right now I'm working hard, taking my chances when I'm allowed to play, so, yeah, I'm not behaving in a different manner."

Kehl made his first appearance of the campaign for Jurgen Klopp's side last week, featuring in a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen.
