Ian Holloway is keen on taking former Newcastle United striker Lomana LuaLua to Blackpool.
The 30-year-old, who is currently a free agent after a spell in Greece, has been training with League One club Hartlepool.
The striker was reportedly prepared to pen a one-year deal with Mick Wadsworth's club, but a move to Bloomfield Road and the Championship may spark a rethink.
LuaLua has scored six goals for the DR Congo national side.
