Preview: Blackpool vs. Watford

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Blackpool and Watford at Bloomfield Road.

It's second against fifth this weekend as Paul Ince's Blackpool side welcome Watford to Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

Despite a turbulent summer for the home side, they have made an impressive start to the Championship season with 10 points from their first four games, including an impressive win over former Premier League side Reading last time out.

Watford, meanwhile, who missed out on promotion via the playoffs last season, have also made an impressive start with eight points from their four matches, remaining unbeaten in the process.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-2 draw in November, but Blackpool did claim all three points in a 2-1 win when they travelled to Vicarage Road in March.

Thomas Ince is once more expected to miss out for the home side with a groin injury that he suffered earlier this month, while Matt Phillips has recently left the Seasiders for Queens Park Rangers, leaving Ince with a problem in the wide positions.

Tom Barkhuizen, who scored on his debut against Reading last week, is expected to start, however, with Ricardo Fuller and Nathan Delfouneso continuing in attack.

Watford, meanwhile, have no fresh injury concerns and could therefore continue with the same side that drew with Nottingham Forest last time out, but Fernando Forestieri and Marco Faraoni are both pushing for starts.
