Steele makes permanent Blackburn switch

Blackburn Rovers have signed goalkeeper Jason Steele from Middlesbrough on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper joined Rovers on a season-long loan back in the summer.

Steele has penned a three-and-a-half-year contract at Ewood Park.

Blackburn are awaiting clearance from the Football Association to see whether Steele can play in Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie at Charlton Athletic.
