Brazilian defender Bruno Ribeiro has departed Blackburn Rovers to join Clube Atletico Linense on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old joined Rovers in the summer of 2011, but has made just five senior appearances during a disappointing spell in England.
Former Blackburn boss Steve Kean likened the Brazilian to ex-Manchester United defender Denis Irwin when Ribeiro arrived in England, but he failed to feature for the club in the Premier League.
It is understood that the defender could join the Brazilian club on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
