Nathan Delfouneso joins Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso.

The 24-year-old, who left Blackpool at the end of last season, has spent much of the summer on trial at Ewood Park.

Having scored in a recent friendly with Oldham Athletic and then also featuring against Bury and Wigan Athletic, the ex-England Under-21 international has done enough to earn himself a one-year contract with the Championship club.

Delfouneso is expected to be in the squad for Saturday's opening match of the 2015-16 campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
