Blackburn Rovers cancel El Hadji Diouf's contract

Blackburn Rovers have cancelled the contract of striker El Hadji Diouf.

The 30-year-old Senegalese international fell out with manager Steve Kean after returning late to pre-season training.

"Dioufy has left the club. I think we reached a mutual-consent termination of his contract last night (Thursday)," said Kean.

"He will be moving on to pastures new and we wish him all the best."

The forward had spent the second half of last season on loan at SPL champions Rangers.
