Yakubu wants hat-trick against Man Utd

Yakubu targeting more goals

Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu has revealed that he is targeting a hat-trick aginst Manchester United on Monday.

The Nigerian striker scored two goals during Rovers' 3-2 victory at Old Trafford in December and is aiming for a Premier League double over the reigning champions.

Yakubu told The Sun: "To score two that day at Old Trafford was a great feeling. You always want to be at your best when you play the biggest clubs.

"After I get my first goal I always feel I can go on and get a second. That's what happened at Old Trafford. Maybe I can do it again — to go one better and get a hat-trick against United. That would be great for me."

A win for Blackburn will move them three points clear of the relegation zone.
