Gareth Ainsworth in Blackburn Rovers frame?

A report claims that Blackburn Rovers are considering Gareth Ainsworth as a replacement for outgoing manager Paul Lambert.

Gareth Ainsworth is reportedly one of the names that Blackburn Rovers are considering to fill their managerial vacancy.

The Championship outfit are on the hunt for a new boss after Paul Lambert decided to walk away from Ewood Park at the end of the season.

According to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Wycombe Wanderers head coach Ainsworth has recently been added to the shortlist of contenders.

Blackburn-born Ainsworth is believed to be a boyhood fan of Rovers, who finished 15th last term.

The 43-year-old has been in charge of Wycombe since 2012.
