Report: Tom Adeyemi hands in transfer request

Birmingham City midfielder Tom Adeyemi has reportedly handed in a transfer request at the Championship side.

The 22-year-old joined the club from Norwich City last summer, and still has one year to run on his contract.

However, Sky Sports News reports that Adeyemi has asked to leave the side, which narrowly avoided relegation from the second tier at the end of last season.

Manager Lee Clark named Adeyemi as the club's vice captain earlier this summer.
