Birmingham City will reportedly be put under a transfer embargo after allegedly breaking Football League financial rules.
The club failed to submit accounts for last season by yesterday's deadline, according to The Sun.
The news comes after City's parent company Birmingham International Holdings said that paperwork for last year would also be late.
Birmingham's president Carson Yeung is currently awaiting trial for money-laundering in Hong Kong, a charge he denies.
The Blues are currently fifth in the Championship, eight points off leaders Southampton.
