Marlon King is looking forward to his first appearance in European football when Birmingham City take on SC Braga tomorrow.

Birmingham City striker Marlon King has said that he is looking forward to the Blues' first Europa League group match against SC Braga tomorrow.

King has never played in a European competition before and is looking forward to sampling the atmosphere at St Andrews.

"The last European game here was a full house and the atmosphere was great. The players buzz off that and I'm no different," King told the club's official website.

"Some people mention Europe lightly but when it comes to game day and the fans are booking their tickets and everybody is getting involved in the atmosphere, all we can do is pull on the shirt and give them something to smile about.

"There are not many teams in the Championship or Premier League that are in Europe and it's something that everybody is looking forward to."

The 31-year-old joined the Blues during the summer from Coventry City.
