Kevin De Bruyne relieved over Bosnia-Herzegovina victory

De Bruyne relieved over Bosnia victory

Kevin De Bruyne has admitted his relief after helping Belgium come from behind to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 in tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier in Brussels.

First-half goals from Marouane Fellaini and De Bruyne saw the hosts lead 2-1 at the break following Edin Dzeko's early opener, before Eden Hazard rolled home a 78th-minute penalty to seal victory and keep the pressure on Group B leaders Wales.

Marc Wilmots's side lost 1-0 to their Welsh counterparts in the summer, and the Manchester City new boy says that it is a relief to get back to winning ways.

"This is important, a real relief after the defeat in Wales," he told reporters. "We knew we had to be good. Bosnia is not a bad team, but we have shown that we were boss.

"They too were, of course, sometimes dangerous, but we always remained calm. After that equaliser they were never really that dangerous. I think we deserved to have won."

Second-placed Belgium, who face Cyprus away on Sunday, are three points behind Wales and two ahead of Israel with three qualifiers remaining.
