Bayern Munich struck by Arjen Robben injury

Robben doubtful for Barcelona clash

Bayern Munich have been dealt another injury blow with the news that Arjen Robben could miss the rest of the season with a calf injury.

Robben made his return from an abdominal injury in Tuesday's DFB-Pokal semi-final meeting with Borussia Dortmund, which saw Bayern lose 2-0 on penalties, but he lasted just 16 minutes as a substitute before limping down the tunnel at the Allianz Arena.

The 31-year-old was forced to leave the ground on crutches, and although Pep Guardiola was unwilling to offer any updates on his condition, reports have suggested that he suffered a torn calf muscle.

If the news is confirmed, Robben is unlikely to play again this season and he would miss the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona, who host the first leg next Wednesday.

Robert Lewandowski was also believed to have suffered concussion against Dortmund, while Thiago Alcantara was also carrying a knock when he came off in the second half.
