Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has started to train with a ball for the first time since he suffered a broken ankle.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury during a training session back in November.
However, he has now provided an indication that he is closing in on a return to action by going through a number of ball and running drills alongside the German club's sports rehabilitation coach Thomas Wilhelmi.
Although there has been no date scheduled for Lahm's comeback, it has been suggested that he could be available for selection to head coach Pep Guardiola early next month.
