Kiessling earns new Leverkusen deal

German striker Stefan Kiessling has put pen to paper on a new contract with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

The 32-year-old has extended his previous deal by a year and Bayer are hoping that he will take up another role at the club when he retires.

"I'm really pleased that Leverkusen still have faith in me as a player and that they also believe in me beyond that," Kiessling told the club website.

"I will obviously do everything for this club, like I always have done, and set high targets. Of course my aim remains to win a title here."

This summer will mark 10 years since Kiessling joined Leverkusen from Nuremberg.
