Team News: Javi Martinez returns for Bayern Munich against Bayer Leverkusen

Javi Martinez makes his return from a serious knee injury as a rotated Bayern Munich team travel to Bayer Leverkusen this evening.

The Spaniard starts at centre-back alongside Dante in a team that also features three youngsters from Bayern's academy.

Rico Strieder, who is out of contract in the summer, starts up front alongside Claudio Pizarro and Mario Gotze, while Gianluca Gaudino and Mitchell Weiser start on the left wing and at left-back respectively as Pep Guardiola rests players ahead of Wednesday's Champions League tie against former club Barcelona.

Gonzalo Castro and defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos are absent for Leverkusen with knee and shoulder injuries respectively.
