Francois Kamano caps Bastia fightback against Rennes

Floyd Ayite and Francois Kamano help Bastia come from behind to beat Rennes in Ligue 1.

Bastia have come back from a goal down to beat Rennes in their opening Ligue 1 game of the season.

Second-half goals from Floyd Ayite and Francois Kamano proved enough for the Corsicans to take three points.

Rennes took the lead six minutes before the interval when Giovanni Sio rose highest to head home Ludovic Baal's cross from close range.

However, the Corsicans were level when Sadio Diallo teed up Ayite and the forward fired the ball into the roof of the net.

Bastia then went in front with 21 minutes remaining as Kamano's shot from six yards, after a Sebastien Squillaci corner, found a way past Benoit Costil.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men when Brandao was sent off in the 78th minute for a poor challenge on Pedro Mendes, but Bastia were able to see out the final 12 minutes.
