Emmanuel Frimpong joins Russian club FC Ufa

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has sealed a move to newly-promoted Russian club FC Ufa.

The 22-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Barnsley this summer following the club's relegation from the Championship last season.

He has been on the look-out for a new club since, and has finally clinched a free transfer to Russia in a three-year deal.

Frimpong, who has made one appearance for Ghana, spent three years with Arsenal at the start of his career, but made just 16 senior appearances during his time with the Gunners.
