Barrow complete double loan signing

Barrow have strengthened their squad with the loan signings of Wigan Athletic striker Sam Cosgrove and Barnsley defender George Williams.

Teenager Cosgrove, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Latics, will spend the next month at the National League newcomers.

Williams has played five times for Barnsley since signing from Worcester City last season, but he will spend the next three months at Barrow to gain regular first-team football.

The full-back played the full 90 minutes as Barrow drew 1-1 with Guiseley on Tuesday night, while Cosgrove entered the action as an 84th-minute substitute.
